She was predeceased by: her parents, Zacharia Trotman and Effie Louise White Evans; her husband Leon Wilbur Byrum; her son Timothy Byrum; and her siblings, Lillie Mae Saunders, Lonie Harrell, Pearl Harrell, Beulah Williams, Carey, Edward, Milton, Marvin, Roland and Alvin Evans.
She is survived by: her sons, Nelson Byrum (Rhonda) of Tyner and Wilbur Byrum (Lois) of Edenton; her sister Helen Lowe of Franklin, VA; her grandchildren, Crystal Copeland (Walter), Jaime Cain (Dan), Catherine Caraway, Rebecca Whitson (Mike Wooten) and Hannah Forehand (Justyn); her great grandchildren, Megan Boyd (Zack), Will Copeland (Sarah Swain), Cullen, Liam, Gavin Caraway, Eleanora Wooten, Theo Forehand, Hanna Cain (Chandler Clardy), Daniel, Maddox and Walker Cain; and her great great grandchild Hunter Copeland.
