She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Lassie Vaughan and Selene Nowell; her husband William I. "Chub" Matchell; and her brother Jimmy Vaughan. She is survived by: her children, Charlotte Holt Mizelle (Vernon) and J. Brent Holt, Jr. (Holly) of Edenton; her siblings, Sarah Ann Toney of Rutherfordton and Jeff Vaughan of Edenton; her grandchildren, Toni Lynn Corprew, Dustin Bunch, Daniel Mizelle, Aaron Knapp and Katline Holt; and her great grandchildren, Gavin Bunch, Baylee Mizelle and Aubrey Corprew.
