He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert L. Parsons and Elsie Davis Parsons; his wife Judy Deane Summerill Parsons; his son Bobby Lee Parsons (Wanda) of Chesapeake, VA; his sister Nancy Lovelace; his grandchildren, Karen Parsons Yowell (Jason), Bobby Lee Parsons, Jr. and Mallory Parsons (Corey Settle); and his great grandchildren, Kailen, Ayden Yowell, Abby Parsons and Benjamin Settle.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Tri-County Animal Shelter, 138 Icaria Road, Tyner, NC 27980.
