It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janice Matthews Riddick of Edenton, North Carolina, born in Hertford, North Carolina, who passed away on July 27, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Lathan and Corey Alexandria Leggett Matthews; and her siblings, Rachel Conner, Alfred Ray, Thomas and Gene Matthews.
She is survived by: her husband Lloyd E. Riddick; her children, Henry L. Nixon, Jr. of Fairfax, VA, Tracy L. Nixon of Edenton and Sharon L. Morgan of Edenton; her brothers, Bobby Matthews of Aulander and Jessie Matthews of Como; and her grandsons, Hunter Yount and Landon Morgan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
