With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnny Cheshire Lewis (Edenton, North Carolina), who passed away on September 6, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Cheshire Lewis, Sr. and Patty Crisp Lewis Hyde; his stepfather Simon Hyde; his son Johnny D. Lewis (Becky) of Greer, SC; and his sister Audrey Wilkins.
He is survived by: his wife Aldine Causeway Lewis; his daughter Tammy Bridges of Tarboro; his granddaughters, Heather Bridges and Emily McCarter (Josh); his great grandchild Robert Austin McCarter; and his niece Pattie Mullen.
With the resurgence in the area of the Covid Virus, no formal visitation is planned; however, friends may speak with the family in the church the hour prior to the services on Friday. Masks and social distancing measures are encouraged.
