He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lloyd and Martha Frances Whitehurst Baker; and his brother Shelton Baker. He is survived by: his wife Rose Ainsley Baker; his daughter Aleta Baker of Edenton; and his siblings, Kay Height of Wake Forest, Joyce Ann Baker of Wake Forest, Lucy Mae Baker of New Bern, James Lee Baker of Florida and John Edward Baker of Tennessee.
