She was predeceased by: her parent Luther Lane; and her siblings, Marvin Earl, William Fentress, Thelma Koenig, Beulah Turner, Melvin Lane and Thurman Earl Lane.
She is survived by: her parent Leora Goodwin Lane; her spouse Roy Lee Ashley, Sr.; her children, Lisa Kaye Ashley Williams (Robert) of Hertford, Brenda Dawn Ashley Pate (Robin) of Hertford and Roy Lee Ashley, Jr.; her wife Cari of Edenton; her siblings, Bessie Lane Newby of Edenton, Alton "Red" Lane of Edenton and James "Jimmy" Lane of Hertford; her grandchildren, Bradley Ashley (Heather) of Edenton, Heather Williams Hartman (Nicholas) of Edenton and Ashley Williams Bailey (Kyle) of Leoma, TN; and her great grandchildren, Adalyn Bailey, Kip Bailey and Lauren Hartman.
