He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis A. Ward and Clare Belle Gibbs Ward; his significant other Mary "Ginny" Garcia of Virginia; his siblings, Hilda Walker, Herlon Lassiter and Grady Ward; and his grandson Larry.
He is survived by: his daughters, Scheryl Chadwick (Gary Szymanski), Kimberly Hope Ward and Connie Raby (Tom); and his grandsons, David and Tommy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
