Libby Nixon Moser Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Libby Nixon Moser of Edenton, North Carolina, born in Pulaski, Virginia, who passed away on January 8, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emory Nixon and Eliza Ward Nixon; her husband Russell Edward Moser; her son Richard Gilbert; and her siblings, Johnny Nixon and Margaret Hulion.
She is survived by: her children, Karan Harrison (Earl) of Suffolk, VA, Dewayne Gilbert (Kim) of Edenton and Jeffrey Gilbert of Edenton; her grandchildren, Isaac, Jessica and Kati Rainn (Jason); her great grandchildren, Madison, Natalie, Carson, Jaxson and Savanna; and her siblings, Emory "Bill" Nixon, Jr., James "Jim" Nixon, Betty Corley, Janie McClenney, Glenna Kiser, O'Neta Farmer, Shirley Griggs, Barbara Paine and Sherry Carpenter. She is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, as well as numerous brothers and sisters.
Due to the restrictions and concerns of the Covid-19 Pandemic, no formal visitation is being held, however friends may visit with the family at the gravesite immediately following the service. Masks should be worn, and social distancing measures should be followed by those attending.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
