He was predeceased by: his parents, James Daughtery and Sarah Agnes Harrell; his wife LaVerne Belch Harrell; his great grandchild Eric Spruill; and his sisters, Doris Hughes and Ethel Perry.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Kay Spruill (David) of Edenton and Becky Evans (Carroll Jr.) of Edenton; his grandchildren, Jason Spruill (Cynthia), Rev. LeAnne Ryan (Scott), Bonnie Bond (Clark) and Ben Evans (Lindsey); and his great grandchildren, Liza, Jacob, Cora Bond, Mason, Graham Evans, Evelyn, Jessica Spruill, Asher and Ada Ryan.
Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of Rocky Hock Baptist Church, 113 Rocky Hock Church Road, Edenton, NC 27932, or to one's favorite charity.
