It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Lyle Umphlett (Edenton, North Carolina), who passed away on June 3, 2020, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Aaron Umphlett, Sr. and Kathryn Louise Mizelle Umphlett. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Jo White Umphlett; and his siblings, Joyce Harrell of Spartanburg, SC, Diana Hassell of Columbia, Betty Lou Gray of Plymouth, William Aaron Umphlett, Jr. of Edenton and Thomas Preston Umphlett of Claxton, GA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any contributions in his memory be given to help with the offset of medical and final expenses.
