He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Rogerson Ricks; his daughters, Stacie Komelasky (Sam) of Front Royal, VA, Kellie Franks (Craig) of Bloomington, IL, Kristie Byrum of Edenton and Valerie Miller (John) of Hertford; his sisters, Joan Privott (Mac) of Edenton, Jean Hollowell (Jerry) of Edenton and Cindy Lewis (Danny) of Edenton; his grandchildren, Joshua, Lea, Kayla, Kallum, Cody, Autumn, Tiernan, Abigail, Haley, John Thomas, Zachary, Chance, Hannah, Brennan and Brodie; and his great grandchildren, Caden, Carter and Baylor.
