He is survived by: his parent Dorothy Houston Makar; his wife Annette Oates Makar; his children, Tamala Shannon Geiger, Robert Vincent Makar, Jobe Christopher Makar and Patrick Shane Makar; his stepchildren, Paul Cherry, II and Nannette Jones; and his sister Karen Quinn.
