With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Syble Hendrix Akins Harrell of Edenton, North Carolina, who passed away on November 16, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Curtis and Magnolia Spradlin Hendrix; her husbands, A. R. Akins and Lloyd Marcus "Mark" Harrell; her son Marvin Lee Akins; and her siblings, Hazel, Emma and Douglas.

She is survived by: her daughters, Patsy Brasington of Fayetteville and Janet Harrell of Edenton; her siblings, Marlene of Georgia, Sandra of Georgia, Robert of Georgia, Sidney of Georgia and Tony of Georgia; and her grandchildren, Stevie, Michelle, Shawn, James Lee, Layla, Samantha and Bradley. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
