She was predeceased by: her parent Bennie Owens; her husband Norman Earl Lane, Jr.; and her siblings, Doris Jean Brickhouse and Bob Owens. She is survived by: her parent Ethel King Owens; her children, Gail Phelps (James) of Roper, Mike Lane (Carol) of Edenton and Don Lane (Monica) of Edenton; and her siblings, Frances Robertson of The Villages, FL, Ruth Lane of Edenton, Joyce Evans of Edenton, Mary Bivens of Edenton, Carolyn Howell and Billy Owens of Hertford. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
