He was predeceased by: his parent William Crummey; his sisters, Elizabeth James, Ella Gray Potts, Edna Basnight and Sadie Forward; and his wife Marina Spruill Crummey.
He is survived by: his parent Geraldine Sanford Crummey; his grandchildren, April Bass, Allen Nixon (Sarah), Ashley Venters (Hunter), Amanda Goodwin (Chris), Amber Young (Mark), Audrey Eley (Maurice) and Abby Tarkington (Corey); and also, Angela Forehand of Edenton, Jimmy Forehand of Edenton, Dianne Nixon of Edenton, Louis Nixon of Edenton, Regina Copeland of Edenton and Wayne Copeland of Edenton.
