It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlan A. Owens (Elizabeth City, North Carolina), born in Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on December 22, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Travis Owens; and her grandparents, Charlie, Mildred Grimes, Raymond and Captola Owens.

She is survived by: her mother Dorothy Grimes Owens; and her sisters, Michelle Owens of Camden and Kennie Williams (Bill) of Elizabeth City. She is also survived by many other cousins, friends, and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Charlan's name can be made to the SPCA of Northeastern NC.
