Darlene Ann Demetres-Allgauer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Darlene Ann Demetres-Allgauer of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 7, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Timothy Demetres and Helen Biernat Demetres; and her brother Larry Demetres. She is survived by: her husband Michael George Allgauer; her sons, Jason Allgauer of Long Island, NY and Matthew Allgauer (Aja) of Stroudsburg, PA; her siblings, Lynne Ciavarelli, Tim Demetres, Andrew Demetres (Noreen) and Jim Demetres (Janet); and her grandchildren, Jason (Alyssa), Matthew, Grace, Preston and Brayden. She is also survived by her family, friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Twiford Funeral Homes (405 E Church St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (1453 N Road St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909).
