It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Horace Harold Ambrose in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on April 22, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Horace Harold Ambrose, Sr. and Doris Hoover Ambrose; and his children, Shari Leigh Ambrose, Sherrill, Troy and Scotty.

He is survived by : his wife Joyce Wilkins Ambrose; his son-in-law Eddie Boukather; his grandchildren, Michael "Joey" Meads (Emily), Kristin Barclift, Travis Hughes (Brandi), Christopher Ryan Hughes (Chelsey), Katie Cazeau, Danny Ambrose and Ruth Ambrose; and his great grandchildren, Kimberlee, Brayden and Callie.
