She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas W. Tyler; her parents, George Sheffield of Washington and Hellen Wallace Phillips Sheffield; and her brother George Sheffield. She is survived by: her family Scottish; her children, Tamela T. Powers of Elizabeth City, NC, Tracey T. Church (Eric) of Norfolk, VA, Thomas W. Tyler, Jr. (Kathy) of Fayetteville, NC and Terry C. Tyler (Jo Anne) of Daytona Beach, FL.; and her siblings, Iris Dipietro and Carroll Sheffield (Nancy). She is also survived by her family and friends.
