She was predeceased by : her parents, Caleb Bernard and Mattie Elliott Pritchard Parker; her husband Joel Franklin McLendon, Sr.; her children, Elaine Nixon Hill and Joel Franklin "Joey" McLendon, II; and her brothers, Dallas, Henry and Bernard Parker.
She is survived by : her granddaughters, Nicole Smith of Elizabeth City and Stephanie Hill of Elizabeth City. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and other extended family members and friends.
