She was predeceased by: her parents, Clinton Nathan Trueblood and Bertie Hurdle Trueblood; her husband Garland Ray Harris, Sr.; and her siblings, Elizabeth Cayton, Dot Spruill, Cleo Walker, Betty Lou Griffin, JoAnn Kirby, Clinton Trueblood Jr., William Trueblood, Phillip Trueblood, Jack Trueblood and Ricky Trueblood.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Meads (Gary) and Ray Harris (Carolyn); her grandchildren, Carrie Darling, Amy Darling, Scott Darling, Lindsay Darling (Ryan), Tadd Darling, Donnie Ray Harris, Travis Harris (Brittany) and Sarah Pendleton (Ben); and her great great grandchild Asher Bradley.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to Newbegun United Methodist Church, 2119 Nixonton Road, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
