He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel A. Walker, Sr. and Eleanor Ione Winslow Walker; his sister Barbara Walker Hudson (Charles Hinton Hudson); and his grandson Jonathan Lee Walker. He is survived by: his son Sam Walker III (Emily) of Waterlily; his grandchildren, James and Caroline; his great grandchildren, Waylon, Harper Jane and Georgia Jane; his niece Kim Hudson Jackson (Chuck) of Hertford; his great-niece Ellie; his great-nephew Seth; his nephew Charlie Hudson (Julie) of Wingate; his great-nephew Spencer; and also, Sarah Harvey (Roy), Eugenia Taylor-Perkins and Charlamagne.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Twiford Memorial Chapel (405 E Church St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909). A reception will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
