With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Walter Bion Jolly Sr. of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 17, 2025 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Lee and Jesse Spivey Jolly; his former wife Lourice Bost Jolly; and his grandson Fischer McPherson. He is survived by: his sister Gloria Lewis (Tommy) of Oak Island, NC; his wife Barbara Williams; his children, Bion Jolly (Kerry) of Elon, NC, Loretta Jolly (Robert) of Belhaven, NC and Liz Jolly McPherson (Jeff) of Camden, NC; his grandchildren, Scott Lee, Jennifer Torres (Chito), Allison Boykin (Ben), Meredith Jolly and Cameron Jolly; his great grandchildren, Ava, Christian Torres, Kellen Bunn, Chandler Lawrence and Maggie Lourice; his extended family, Michaelle Overman, Beth Stephenson, Steven Overman and Logan Overman; his stepchildren, Jennifer Williams Coleman (Patrick) and Michael Williams (Dawn); and his grandchildren, Jay, Matthew, Ben, Caroline and Graham.
