He is survived by: his wife Mattie Cromartie; his children, Alice Cromartie of Elizabethtown, NC, Nathaniel Cromartie of East Orange, NJ, Johnnie Cromartie Jr. of Elizabethtown, NC and Joseph Cromartie of Lumberton, NC; and his sister Corienne Poe of Elizabethtown, NC. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
