He is survived by: his parents, David Steele and Texie Cheek Steele; his sons, Eric Steele (Anastasia) of Charlotte and Dustin Steele of Jacksonville, FL; and his brothers, David M. Steele, Jr. (Mary) of State Road, Mark Steele (Tammy) of Mountain Park and Jonathan Steele of State Road. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
