He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sinkler Adams and Bertie McCann Adams; his wife Betty Ruth Cockerham Adams; and his siblings, Gratis Adams, Frank Adams, Edward Adams, Tommy Adams, Pauline Sprinkle, Lizzie Gambill, Louise Pinnix and Willie Eldridge.
He is survived by: his daughter Terry Adams Schmidt (Karl); his sister Libby Adams Beshears (Ralph) of Elkin; his granddaughters, Barbara Jean Nixon (Roger) and Polly Freeman; his great grandchildren, Austin Beshears, Lori Pendry (Andy), Adam Beshears (Cindy), Joy Dixon (David) and Lane Beshears (Teresa); and his nieces and nephews, Sarah Beshears, Matthew Beshears, Eliza Pendry, Drew Pendry, Addi Pendry and Coleman Mathis.
In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, Grace Clinic or Tri County Christian Ministry.
