He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bratton and Frances Abercrombie Simpson, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Amy Joe Hardy-Simpson; his daughters, Sara Simpson, Kristyn Simpson and Holly Simpson; and his sister Linda Simpson Grimes (Randy) of Kernersville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
