He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Wood and Pheba Durham Wood; his wife Libby Stanley Wood; his daughter Lisa Ann Wood; and his siblings, Delos Wood, L. C. Wood, Roger Wood, Henry Wood, Dorothy Brown, Rosa Lee Hayes, Pearl Wood and Ruth Wood.
He is survived by: his children, Timmy Wood (Anne) of Thurmond, Tonya Gentry (Kenneth) of Elkin and Donna Roope (Will) of Hays; his brothers, David Wood (Kathy) of Traphill and Bob Wood (Faye) of Traphill; and his grandchildren, Timothy Roope (Andrea) of Hays, Kelly Gentry (Julie) of New Hampshire, Alicia Burton of King, Kayla Gentry of Elkin, Chase Wood of Thurmond, Hunter Wood of Thurmond and Bryleigh Miller of Hays. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
