She was predeceased by : her husband Guy McFarland; her parents, Will Hennessee and Manilla Hunt Hennessee; her son Phillip Keith McFarland; and her siblings, Dewey Hennessee and Margaret Vincent.

She is survived by : her son Gary McFarland (Pam) of Whitsett; her brother Hugh Hennessee of Shallotte; her grandchildren, Beth Cooke, Megan Burhenn, Jamie McGinnis and Mark McFarland; her great grandchild Georgia Rae McGinnis; her daughter-in-law Janice McFarland of Ellenboro; and her sisters-in-law, Susie Hennessee of Sunshine and Sylvia McFarland of Mooresville.
