With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Groves Varnell Stott of Elm City, North Carolina, who passed away on December 13, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Joan Thorne Stott; his parents, Henry Groves "Duddie" Stott and Louise Varnell Stott; and his brothers, Glenn Bradley Stott and Johnnie Stott.

He is survived by : his son Quintin Stott of Elm City; his grandchildren, Justin Stott of Elm City and Suzanne Stott of Wilson; his sister Nan Hinnant-Tripp of Wilson; and his daughter-in-law Jackie Stott of Elm City.
