It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorena Wheeler Alford (Elm City, North Carolina), born in Franklin, North Carolina, who passed away on June 8, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Jimmie Richard Wheeler and Ella Lee Fulford Wheeler; her husband Willis "Bill" Oliver Alford; and her siblings, Luther Richard Wheeler, Sidney Thomas Wheeler, Harold Junior Wheeler, Thurmond Earl Wheeler, Elsie Wheeler Parrish, Emily Wheeler Barrow and Ruby Wheeler Williams. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
