She was predeceased by : her parents, Deacon Clarence Fenner and Ethel T. Fenner. She is survived by : her son Minister James Martin DuBose, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Teshuna Worrells DuBose; her grandsons, Jamond Martravius DuBose and Jameson Myles DuBose; and her aunts, Argiree Fenner and Maude Cobbs. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to The Muriel J.F. DuBose-Rook Scholarship. Checks may be made payable to the Halifax County Schools Education Foundation, 9525 Hwy 301 S, Halifax, NC 27839.
