She was predeceased by : her parents, Wallie Strickland and Leona Dudley Strickland; her husband Vernon Britt; and her siblings, Billy Jo, Franklin Strickland and Sadie Soles.

She is survived by : her children, Michael Britt (Jamie) of Fairmont, NC and Monica Faye Coffman (John) of Virginia Beach; her brother James Strickland (Shirley) of Jacksonville, Fla.; her grandsons, Joshua Coffman, Michael Brandon Britt and Christian Hunter Britt; her great grandchild Oakley Britt; and her close friends, Wanda Oliver and Lucy Parker. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
