He was predeceased by: his parents, Ova Callahan and Sarah Elizabeth Ison Callahan; and his brothers, Glennville Callahan, Ova Buckner and Monroe Buckner.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his children, Richard Callahan (Charlene) of Hope Mills, Tammy Coleman (Kyle), Amy Callahan, Kimberly Melissa Callahan-Boyd (Hershel), Jennifer Callahan-Vik (Josh), Sayla Merritt and Victoria Jackson; and his siblings, Vernon Callahan, Murvil Callahan, Mitch Buckner, Patty Callahan and Sandy Buckner. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lafayette Funeral Home (6651 Raeford Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
