He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Byrd; his son Gary Byrd II; and his siblings, Mashall Byrd (Linda), Edmund Byrd (Shirley), Donald Byrd and Linda Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative and friends.
