She was predeceased by: her father Estol Blaney Hudson; her husband John Andrew Sykes; her son-in-law Dennis Rickman; her brothers, J. B. Hudson, Bill Pope and Glenn Pope; and her granddaughter Tiffany Sykes.

She is survived by: her mother Pauline Estelle Pope; her children, Judy Rickman, John Sykes Jr. (Danna), Tammy Zucco (Rick) and David Sykes (Keli); and her caregivers, Karen McNew and Janet Ridgen. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and many special extended family.
