He is survived by: his wife Carolyn McGarrah Lisenby; his children, Johnny Lisenby, Jr., Bill Lisenby (Hazel) and Rebecca Tyson (Jeffrey); his sister Betty Jean Brock; and his grandchildren, William Lisenby, Nathaniel Locklear and Alisa Chavis.
