He was predeceased by : his parents, Neil "Red" Foster Downing, Jr. and Rose Nell Rhodes Downing. He is survived by : his sons, Neil Downing, III (Crystal) of Fayetteville and Larry Wayne Downing, II (Blaine) of Angier; his grandchildren, Neil Maddox Downing, Piper Rose Downing and Haylo Rain Downing; and his brothers, Ricky Downing (Wanda) of Fayetteville and John Downing (Angie) of Wilmington.
