We are sad to announce that on August 24, 2020, at the age of 84, Larry Godwin Sr. of Fayetteville, North Carolina, born in Benson, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Godwin and Jessie Draughon Smith; his son Curtis Martin Godwin; and his sister Betty Godwin Norton. He is survived by: his wife Reba Tew Godwin; his brother Kermit L. Godwin (Sybil) of Godwin; his children, Larry Ray Godwin, Jr. of Vander, Sheila Godwin Abe (Dan) of Fayetteville and Valerie Godwin Taylor (Jeff) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Jennifer Godwin Fisher (Jeremy), Larry Ray "Trey" Godwin III (Melissa), Allison Godwin Mews (Jeff), Cara Abe Stutts (Travis), Bryce Abe, Erin Taylor, Anna Taylor and Cullen Godwin; and his great grandchildren, Jenna Fisher, Jessa Fisher, Cadence Mews, Tucker Godwin and Hayes Godwin.
The family will receive visitors, while observing social distancing, from 12:30 -1:45 prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Baywood Pentecostal Holiness Church, Falcon Children's Home or Operation Blessing of Fayetteville.
