He was predeceased by: his father William Robert Jernigan; and his brother Ollen Lee Jernigan. He is survived by: his wife Paula McCoy Jernigan; his son David Brian Jernigan of Angier; his siblings, Betty Jernigan McLamb of Raleigh and William Robert Jernigan (Helen) of Greensboro; his sister-in-law Tammy Thomas of Bethany Beach; and his siblings' children, Dr. Rebecca Garland of Raleigh, Teri Minnis of Raleigh, Cynthia McNally of Flushing, Dawn Jernigan of Greensboro, Josh Stewart of Virginia Beach, VA and Chris Jernigan of Greensboro.
