We are sad to announce that on April 11, 2024, at the age of 81, Betty Jane Rhymer in Forest City, North Carolina, born in Murphy, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Jane Rhymer to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Rufus Swanson and Hattie Sherlin Swanson; her daughter Donna McClure; and her brother Ed Swanson. She is survived by : her husband Morris Rhymer of Greer, SC.; her son Daniel; her daughter-in-law Kathy McClure of Boiling Spring, SC.; her daughters, Darlene (Randy Stone), Marilyn (Charlie Bardwell) and Melissa (Todd Foster); her siblings, Carl (Elaine Swanson) of Murphy, Herman (Shirley Swanson) of Murphy, Henry Swanson of Murphy, Jimmy (Kathy Swanson) of Murphy, David Swanson of Murphy and Emma Radford of Murphy; and her grandchildren, Michael McClure, Tasha Ayon, Shane Temple, Adam Bardwell, Joshua Geer, Paige Durham, Samantha Bardwell, Megan Chastain, Makayla Bissell, Brandon Geer, Emily Chastain and Hattie McClure. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and at 3:00 PM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church (50 Allman St, Marble, NC 28905).

Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the American cancer Society in Mrs. Rhymer's memory.
