He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmadge Head and Esther Earnest Head; his siblings, Robert, Melvin, Leonard (Pete), Franklin (Carolyn), Doro and Alice Head; his children, Dorothy Swepson, C. Sterling Head Jr. and Anthony Head; and his nephew Jeffrey.
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice; his children, Esther Head Patterson (Michael), Katherine Head, Monique Royster-Herriott (Donald) and William Royster (Linda); his daughters-in-law, Wanda Head and Eugenia Royster; and his nieces and nephews, Darlene, Gwen, Teresa, Lisa, Leonard (Gail), Ricky, Michael and Micheal Sterling. He is also survived by 18 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the M. W. Hawkes Funeral Home (15001 Patrick Henry Hwy, Amelia Court House, VA 23002). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Level Baptist Church (901 Wills Rd, Amelia Court House, VA 23002).
