She was predeceased by: her father Forrest King; her stepfather Claude "Spider" Smith; her husband Tome Dowler; and her grandsons, David Horace Tesnear, Jr. and Before.
She is survived by: her mother Vera Holbert King of Edneyville; her sons, Jay Tesnear of Hendersonville, Robby Dardas (Ashley) of Forest City and David Tesnear of Greenville, SC; her sister Bobbi Godman (Ronnie) of Hendersonville; her nephew Brandon Godman (Jordan); and her great-niece Lola Mae. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
