It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Spurgeon Green of Forest City, North Carolina, who passed away on November 3, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Spurgeon may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Spurgeon touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Spurgeon Green and Inez Reid Green; his wife Virginia Green; and his siblings, Carolyn Dysart, Doug Green and Johnny Green.
He is survived by: his siblings, Howard Greene (Pat) of Cliffside and Linda G. Hiott of Forest City; and his sister-in-law Cathy Green of Forest City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Morrow Family Cemetery.
