We bid farewell to Rufus Randolph Wynne Sr. of Creedmoor, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 4, 2025 at the age of 93. Rufus touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Washington Wynn and Neva May Wynn; his wife Shirley Fuller Wynn of Creedmoor; his sisters, Anna Wynn Fuller and Betty Wynn Renn; and his brothers-in-law, John E. Fuller and James E. Averett.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Wynn (Tia) and Kim Griswold (Chuck); his grandchildren, Kristy Wynn, Scott Griswold (Lindsey), Sarah Wynn (Davis) and Shannon Wynn; and his brother Howard Wynn (Nancy). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (2677 NC-56, Creedmoor, NC 27522). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church future building fund in Creedmoor, NC.
