She is survived by: her children, Jammie Stewart, James Batiste Jr., Juan Batiste and Thomas TaylorJr; her grandchildren, Zariah Kenner, Ramir Stewart, Damien Batiste and Abigail Batiste; her siblings, Walter Rogers and Diane Herndon; and her great-nephew Kairo. She is also survived by 3 nieces, 2 nephews.
