He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Carl and Beulah Stanley Dillon; his former wives, Judy Mann Dillon and Peggie Norris Dillon; his son Barry Wayne Dillon; his wife Patricia Watson Dillon; his son Mark Andrew Dillon (Kimbra); his brother Robert Joseph Dillon (Ilena); his stepchildren, Kimberly Blackman Massengill, Candace Bowling Darden (George), James Mark Blackman (Bridget), Nicole Keith Brigman (Guy) and Marvin Owen Keith; and his grandchildren, Robert Trail, Harrison Trail, Dylan Keith, Lindsey Keith, Avery Darden, Tate Darden, Daire Barefoot, Dace Barefoot and Ky Barefoot. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
