Carole Overend Drake Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carole Overend Drake (Fuquay Varina, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 20, 2025 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Overend and Betty Jane Overend; and her brothers, J. Reed Overend (Michelle) and Robert W. Overend (Susan). She is survived by: her siblings, Candy Hodgson (Rick) and David Overend (Marshall "Pete" Drake Jr); her children, Marshall Drake III (Emilie), Daniel Drake (Weiying) and Heather Drake (Melissa); and her grandchildren, Brian Drake (Amanda), Kelsey Drake and Lindsay Drake. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fuquay Varina United Methodist Church in care of The Hearts and Hammers Mission or the Youth 2025 Mission, as well as St. Jude's Hospital. Keep Carole 's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
