He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hughie Goodwin and Elsie Yates Goodwin; his brothers, Richard and Ernest Goodwin; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Powell and Beatrice Wallace.
He is survived by: his significant other Honoree Cox Goodwin; his daughter Penny Ann Goodwin Rak (Walter) of Mooresville, NC; his granddaughters, Ashley and Danielle Rak; his sister Mary Frances Goodwin (Woodrow) of Apex; his siblings-in-law, Iris Powell of Fuquay-Varina, Tommy Cox (Sharon) of Clewiston, FL and Waylon Cox; and his friend March. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
